Cozy inside the bookstore!

Golly, it’s cold out there today!  Inside LitLife, though, it’s warm and cozy, the fireplace is sparkling, the windows glow.  Two young ladies met here this morning, after getting coffee and chai from The Sparrows.  I love that people meet their friends here!  I don’t know where they were going the rest of the day, but I’m so pleased they started their day here.

Tonight, you can wrap up your day by joining us for a performance by The Kilpatricks!  Ryan and Amber Kilpatrick are débuting here tonight at 7:00 p.m.  They create a smooth blend of urban soul and ethereal folk.  It should be fun!  I hope you’ll all come by!  And keep an eye on our New & Events page for upcoming Third Thursday events.
This cold, cold weather makes me really appreciate a comfy sofa, warm blanket, cup of tea and a good book!  I think my favorite book for 2008 was The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.  I just love that book!  It drew me right in; I couldn’t wait to get back to it, to find out what the characters were up to.  Right now, I’m reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.  I’ve just started (last night), so I’ll write a little review to post on the bookshelf later on.  What are you reading right now?
