Swollen Clouds, Dwindling Water Drops
Remaining dry (for now) inside the bookstore, but honestly I’m eager to stretch my legs and spread my arms-- to dance in the rain! I’ll lay the store to sleep and walk out sideways to blow in the harmonic wind, listening for the bird’s warbling whistle. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with LitLifer’s, strengthening relationships within a community. Being back in the states after traveling to/through Europe for two months I have felt pressures of society and the demands it places upon me, us. There are minor adjustments yet to be made and others that simply will not. It pleases me to be kindly welcomed back, thank you to those curious or concerned.
Last night Ryan Knott warmed the evening with a solo acoustic set of alternative pop/rock.
The seats we have shortly became occupied so we offered standing room, with a bonus may I add-- perusing the bookshelves, dusting covers or spines with the eyes. A personable crowd and somewhat stage-shy performer made for an amusing event. Thanks Ryan for joining us, and those who attended in support.
Friends are working collaboratively on an independent literary review magazine: the Litribune, strung under the MCAG. To find out more check the site http://www.thelitribune.wordpress.com. Thanks!
Today a nice lady came in, Sarah, with the Red Cross. We have a mason jar hungry for donations to aid in measles vaccinations. Anticipating a community-wide event in Grand Rapids as a fundraiser for the Measles Initiative.
Closing time, in a few moments I’ll be kicking pebbles and tractoring rubble by the course of my feet.
Here are a couple of images I captured, oh those jazzy neon rainbows:
with peace
