Autumn Link Love

Our ArtPeers participation was fun!  Ryan Kush‘s book-themed cabinets were marvelous and Mary Stek’s beautiful watercolors were lovely.  It was fun to see new people and familiar faces enjoying the art with us this past weekend!  Many thanks to all the people who organized ArtPeers so well and so quickly!

I’m really looking forward to the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association Trade Show this weekend.  The store will be closed Friday and Saturday (Oct. 2 & 3), but we’ll be open on Monday (YES! MONDAY!), Oct. 5 with all kinds of new ideas for the bookstore!  I’ve never been to Cleveland before and I hope we have time to do a little exploring.  Roni found an indie bookstore that has a wine bar inside - how great is THAT?  I think we’ll stick with our delicious Harney & Son’s teas for LitLife, but it’ll be fun to visit Visible Voice Books.

Do you have your Halloween costume ready yet?  Come in and show it off on Halloween!  We’re going to have a special Kids’ Saturday that day from 11:00 - noon.  We’ll have stories, treats, and a photo booth, so please come in and join the fun!  I love Halloween!  Gina’s costume was really good, but pretty scary last year.  I wonder what she’ll come up with this year?
